Then build your own computer for a significantly better experience than Alienware. You can even add glowy bits if you really want glowy bits.

Lol pretty much this biggrin.gif

Could be an unstable overclock, memory-related or a virus. Switching the system off from the mains is not harmful if you're a 1st-time offender tongue.gif

A friend of mine just asked today about Alienware x51. After looking up the specs I could not believe my eyes. For 1000 euros you get a "gaming" computer with GFX card only good enough to play these facebook gadgets. Like C'mon, even my mums internet box has stronger GFX card than Alienware X51 and it's costing only approx 250 euros (granted, it's composed of components that have been left over after I have upgraded or which I have got back after RMA over the past couple of years).

The Alienware X51 around here contains i5 2320 CPU, 8 GB of RAM, 1TB of HDD and GTX 545 1 GB card for low low price of 999 Euros.

For low low price of 999 Euros I can do i5-2500K on Z77 chipset, 2 TB HDD + 60 GB SSD, AMD 7850 GFX card and proper PSU of at least 80+ rating and then, on top of that put the damn CPU and GPU under water. Or, I can skip water, get a good ITX case, lets say Lian Li PC-TU200B and LGA 1155 ITX mobo, for example that ASRock one with Z68 chipset and still get off the hook cheaper AND have .. oh ... about 4x stronger GFX card (or if it's under water then about 5x stronger bcos how much GFX cards love water)

They have neat design I give them that but you can do better for the same price even if you go as small as Alienware. I would even say a lot better.

Haha, I guess it would be the incompatibility of the IL-2 Sturmovik version that you have. May I ask, is it the IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, or IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover? If it's the 1946, then the mod didn't work with the version you're on, or there was a clash in several mods.
