I make a large loop on one end and use it to slip knot to the GPU, then attach a paper clip on the other end and attach it to my HDD cage somewhere so that it supports the GPU. Now that my new case has a window, I need to find a better way to attach the GPU so it doesn't look so ghetto, but it certainly is effective.

The large "bread ties" that are frequently included to bundle cables together could also work well to run through the GPU to the HDD cage, I just didn't think about using them until I already rigged up some fishing line the first time around.

The best solution is to use coated stainless leader line for deep-sea fishing. Use with clips on each end. Clip one end to a hole at the end of the GPU, and the other end to somewhere up top. Perhaps a small drilled hole. Would look decent and totally keep cards from warping.
