the ga990fxa-d3 should still have a factory warrenty on it all Gigabythe boards come with a 3 year warrenty and that board hasent been out for over 3 years

You talk about brands brands brands in this thread.

Look at the phases. Look if they're heatsinked.
Don't settle for anything less than 6+2 unless they're like Biostar's higher quality ones.
Heatsinked is a nobrainer.

WHY ALL THIS? You're running a hexcore.

Warranty? Sorry. Just get a good phase count with heatsink on it and... that's it. You're giving weight to things like brand/warranty and not giving weight to where it counts, phase # & heatsinked or not.
