Hey there,
this is the build I am planning on doing:
CPU - i7 3770k
MB - ASUS Z77 Sabertooth
CPU Cooler - Corsair H100 + Corsair SP 120 Quiet
RAM - Corsair 16GB KIT DDR3 1866MHz CL9 Black Vengeance Low profile
GPU - GIgabyte GTX 670 Windforce
DVD Burner - Samsung SH-222BB
PSU - Corsair AX650
SSD - Intel 520 120GB
HDD - WD Green SATA II 1TB (already have)
Case - Corsair 550D

This will be mostly used for gaming, might do some video editing once in a while. This rig is supposed to last me for 4 years.

So what do you say? Anything that would improve the performance? Or is there anything I should know about i.e. anything good/bad about a certain hardware.

Are 3 GPUs really necessary? I believe for the price it might be a better idea to do a 690 or 680 setup. Unless you have that many monitors, in which case I envy you and your GPUs haha.

The one point I feel confident in suggesting is that you should get more RAM. I'm running 16GB in my machine, and although it's only during After Effects that I can max out the full 16GB, I did notice an improvement in gaming when I upgraded from 8GB to 16GB.

Also, the 3770k overclocks like mad (I'm pretty sure, at least) so I suggest you use a watercooling system for maximum clock speeds, but I'm guessing you've already considered this.

Not 3 GPUS

I meant as in Windforce X3 fans. 3 GPUs would be overkill for a 1080p resolution

For 16GB should I go for 1600MHz or 1866MHz?

Is there a big difference in performance between the H80 and the H100?

Faster is better, as always. The 1866 will likely allow for a higher overclock, provided adequate cooling. And make sure your timing is fast, because fast timing on 1600 would be better than slow timing on 1866. Also, get the biggest RAM sticks you can, because as you add sticks it increases latency. At least it used to be like that--I'm not sure if DDR3 has fixed that.

Not a fan of the Asus sabertooth myself or asus rma process, there are better cheaper alternatives, rest of the rig is spot on though

@ Chewy Any suggestions? I do like the look of the Sabertooth though. It is all clean and sleek looking.

I was thinking shouldn't I get a H80 with the 550D? Would I lose any performance by going with a h80 instead of a h100??

Whenever possible, I go for Gigabyte motherboards. They have excellent RMA service if needed, and their Ultra Durable motherboards are pretty much the gold standard. I've had good experience with Abit, but I don't know if they even are still in business. ASRock is good too, but I'd choose Gigabyte or EVGA over them.

Oh, and you can't go wrong with an Intel board! Even though for the price they don't usually compete on features, they are probably the most stable--everyone supports Intel chipsets and NICs.

The gigabyte Z77X-UD5H costs 20 € less than the Sabertooth board.
