i3570k, Gigabyte UP5 TH - I do not OC but like to know I could if I wanted to
The 6950 for $190 seems like a steal but what do i lose out by not going with the newer models and not using PCi3 and X11.1.

Will any of these run eyefinty at high setting or do I need to hold out until I can get a 7950 for around $300?
I do not have a monitor with a display port so that is another $30 for an low end active adapter should I consider going with the Sapphire flex instead of an adapter will one perform better than the other.

Thanks for any advice

My brand preference leads me to Sapphire(many cards)>Giga=Asus=MSi>FXF (due to horrible customer service reports)>HIS ( I do not know to much about seems like a new player) should I change my thought on these manufacturers.

Here's a link to a good comparison of some cards running eyefinity at higher resolutions. The 6950 isn't listed there, but keep in mind it performs at or above the GTX 560Ti depending on the game.

My only question would be, what resolution will you be playing and what games since this is going to affect what card we recommend to you. However, judging by what you said, I'd probably wait for the 7950 to drop in price or see how the GTX 660Ti performs since it will supposedly be in the $250+ price range.

Also, you won't miss out on much be not using PCI3 and X11.1.

5760 X 1080 preferred but I am not sure as this will be my first EyeFinity setup. I am using 3 1080p 23" acer monitors

The Card I am leaning towards sapphire 7970 OC

PS. My case will only handle cards 10.5 and smaller

For 5760 x 1080 the minimum card you need is HD 7950 OC. overclock the card to atleast 1.1 - 1.15 Ghz with voltage OC and you should be able to play at high settings in most games at 5760 x 1080. clock for clock HD 7950 is 3 - 5% slower than HD 7970. so for the best price perf go for a HD 7950 OC.

Metro 2033 2560 x 1600 Very High AAA

HD 7950 (1050) - 40
HD 7970(925) - 38.5

Few good options

Both these cards use a HD 7970 PCB. the newegg user reviews and the posts confirm
