I agree completely.

I used to love FireFox, but the past dozen or so version have been "bloatware" and compared to Chrome, it just can't compare in the speed department.

Sounds like your computers have serious issues if that's the case.

There are two reasons why I like Firefox better than Chrome.

I like the menu and the search bar. Searches belong in the search bar not the URL bar -_-

It's addons are far better than Chromes, in general. As for the speed, it's so fast you can't really tell the difference.

That's only the renderer, Apple gimps Safari to run worse on Windows than on Mac though.

That's a problem on your end, it's all fine here..Unless you're talking Firefox 2.0 or something it shouldn't take a minute or so if it's a modern client on a modern system.

It's pretty much preference, want absolute maximum compatibility? IE9. Want minimalist interfaces and semi-decent addons? Chrome. Want built-in features up the butt? Opera. Want the best add-on ecosystem ever for a browser? Firefox is your man. Want to run a gimped Mac browser? Safari.

/chrome user, but it changes every so often.

I didn't have any problem with FF till it was one version that started crashing a lot and when I'm crashing while I'm typing something then it's personal. My fav though is Opera, I like the interface and it gives me some nice features and customizations (but the 12.ver is unstable so I'm back to Chrome sadly). Chromium engine just works really well (smooth and fast) and thats why it is so popular...Safari, Chrome, Comodo Dragon...

Now I'm wondering whether that browser choice did anything or nothing at all because just look where IE still is....wth.gif
