Windows 8 would be the successor to XP. It flat out smokes XP on every machine. I use to run XP on my old rig because Vista/7 are too bulky. But Win8 runs fine on it without a hitch. I think its great if Microsoft is adding a little tutorial to the install process. The install itself doesn't take as long as Vista/7 and while you wait that 10 minutes you can be learning how to use the OS. It's sorta like how Ubuntu installs, showing you about the OS while you wait. Beats having it pop up on your desktop asking if you wish to take the tour.

The Appleization of a good OS. Lovely, for grandmas that have never seen a computer before and need that retard friendly interface.

The sales team at my work is having troubles pitching Windows 8 to major Canadian corporations at my work, from what I understand.

XP was a popular and well liked OS. Windows 8 is not popular or well liked.
