Other backplates for 7970?

I just got a pair of reference 7970s. I want to keep the nice and cool so I would like to put some water blocks on them. I really liked the look and what I've seen of the performance of the Heatkiller 79x0, but I really kind of hate the backplate. Is there an alternative that you can use on these or are you stuck with this backplate?

EK also has a backplate for the 7970, though it had some issues originally, but I think they've been resolved. I don't know if backplates can be used with different blocks, but I honestly don't see why not.

I've looked at those, and if they looked like the unpainted one that was on the EK first look thread, it would be liquid sex, but the current one is pretty drab in comparison to it. I guess its better than a bunch of holes in a piece of bent metal like the 79x0.

Here is the post I'm referring to:

Here is what I got on the ek website:

And this is what the backplate for the 79x0 looks like:

I got the heatkiller backplate and it's bad looking at all. it looks good and feels good. it fits my Koolance VID-AR797 block (well I did need longer version of the screws that came with the koolance block and Koolance was happy to send them to me for free) although the chrome like finish aint my thing, so imma have to re-paint it white to match my case theme.

Well I ordered the block and matching plate for the heatkiller. I spent a bit more to get the copper one because I like that look better for my dream build.
