Doesn't seem PR is working.
I'm not at quake con, but overall this game feels like one of those 19438734 Wii mario games.
I'm not here to bash your product, just expressing what I feel about this game after watching video and reading description.
"Classic console RPG's" Does not sound appealing either, life goes on...
p.s. Magicka, Krater.

Where as I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I absolutely love the aesthetic. A Link to the Past was the first game I ever owned, and the influence is clear. Unfortunately, I don't play multiplayer games. As in at all, really. I've tried, and have occasionally found some enjoyment for a brief amount of time, but I always end up quitting for a single player game(which I generally feel to be superior, or at least more enjoyable to me). I do wish these guys luck with the funding, but I would never play the game.

From what I gathered in that video, its a mix of the leveling/skills/items of RPG games, and from the online FPS genre, you're taking....multiplayer and a few game modes?

I dont want to sound cynical (but im going to...) - but how is this different from an MMO like Guild Wars?

This. I thought the background/environment was ok, but the avatar was down right awful and made me lost interest since there are a lot of other game I was waiting for too. No reason to wait for this one.

At its core, Eternal Fate is essentially Diablo II PVP with organized round-based game rules. Our intent is to create something that is easily picked up but has a level of depth and strategy in the gameplay to reward time invested into the game.

Regarding the art direction, We realize that it's not going to please everyone. (and let's be honest, it's impossible to please everyone) What we wanted to do was create something that didn't look like every other game out there. If we had gone with a gritty, dark, pseudo-realistic art direction we'd be directly compared with Diablo III, and frankly Blizzard is a bit larger than us. :-)

Everything you see in the video is "Pre Alpha" and we've still got a ways to go.
