Hello, I built a PC for my kids and it wont power on. The issue began with a flashing power button, i then tried to restart the PC and it wouldnt power up at all. i thought it was a bad PSU, but i have tried 2 other working PSU and they didnt work either and they are both working psu.
I also check the power on button on the case...keep in mind this is a very cheap case. Everything looked good with the power button and i get a solid clicking sound from it....but i am not 100% certain this isnt the issue. Is there another way to verify its not the power button?
from there my next thought is the mobo, but idk if this can be tested. its under warranty from MSI but i dont want to send it back if thats not the issue. Is there a way to test the mobo?
the next thought was the CPU...but wouldnt i get some sort of power even if the cpu was bad?
this is an older cpu i snagged from a PC with a fried mobo. The PC has been working great with no issues, I built about 5 months ago
