Best monitor for fast-paced games?

By fast-paced games I mean Quake Live, Shootmania, also cs
I've heard that the samsung S23A700D is very good because of his high refresh rate and response time but it features 3D and I ALWAYS game in 2D since 3D gives me migraine. So I don't want to be paying for the 3D because I'm not going to use it at all.
Are there any other monitors? Highest refresh rate, no ghosting, response time? Things like image quality, size (inch) and other things that won't give me an advantage in fast-paced games I really dont care about.

Whichever brand, you definitely need a 120hz monitor !!! I regret didn't buy one earlier.
I can't tell you how many times in BF3/MW3 I got shot in the back, I turn 180 and kill the guy.
I don't play 3d, my videocard can't handle it. Most of my frames in both games are about 75+.
Everything is so clear than 60hz biggrin.gif
