Need PSU sleeving help

Thread Starter
So i am attempting my first sleeveing attempt on the psu i just pulled out of my system so that i can clean it up and give it to my mom (who also happens to be a computer gamer... lol i know) for her b-day. i am sleeving with paracord and everything is running smoothly so far and im done with the 24pin ATX connector... now on to the rest.

My problem now is, some of the cables are split at the first connector or have like 2-3 connectors on the single line. At first thought im thinking of just having to uncrimp/unsolder each connection so i can sleeve the wires and put them back together but its going to be somewhat of a pain but im not sure of any other way around it.

just wondering what you guys thoughts on it are and seeing what other people did to overcome this problem. thx in advance and i like +1 reping people so theirs something in it for ya thumb.gif

I'm not sure what PSU you are sleeving, but with the modular ones that I have dealt with, they usually have at least 1 cable that has 2 pins on the PSU side going to 1 pin on the motherboard side. The best way to deal with that is to cut the cable from the PSU side and recrimp that wire with a single pin, cut about 10mm gap to expose bare wire, then solder and twist the cable in the back so its hidden. Ontic did a good representation here:

If its not modular, I am not sure smile.gif
