Intel Core 2 Extreme X9100 QBDW vs SLB4B - Page 3

I'd just swap it to whatever CPU you like. The boost both in speed (1 GHz more is nothing to frown at) and L2 cache would be noteworthy enough. I made a similar change on my laptop, from a single core T1350 to a dual core T2500, and the extra core did help a lot.

Also, don't worry about OCing. I tried OCing my T2500 and while i could get it stable to 2.5 GHz, i didn't noticed ANY difference in everyday stuff and my temps went through the roof. Definitely not recommended to OC on a laptop.

Fine then, alright. I guess there's no difference in between the versions...and most people seem to only sell the Engineering Sample lol...I guess I don't need to worry about overclocking, but I guess if anyone has any info on the versions it'd be useful...thanks for the help. +REP
