cloth pads are always better unless you are using a laser mouse. hard pads wear your feet and itself , and you will never aim well unless you play games like bf3 and mw3, aim doesnt mean anything.

Ahh, I see. In my perspective, my accuracy is tremendously better on 4HD than my older cloth pad. Well, it's not a top notch 30 dollar cloth pad but a cloth mousepad none the less.

The whole point of gaming surfaces was to get friction as low as possible, though a lot developed preference for cloth comfort and control. There's no right answer unless you're looking for specific performance traits.
