Problem over 2GB of memory. - Page 2

did it ever blue screen before you fixed the CPU cooling problem?

is it possible you changed a BIOS setting and forgot? reset the BIOS/CMOS to default settings if you haven't already, just in case.

run this to test to see if any of your RAM sticks are faulty

http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

burn it to a cd and set your BIOS to boot from CD like you would if you were installing an operating system. let it run for a while (at least 45-60 minutes) to see if there are any issues.

Hello

No, not a BIOS problem. I reset it to test this possibility.

Now, on the mentest. Do you think are the memory modules? For each, individually, works well. The problem comes when the two together. Or if I use a 4GB that this new.

all sticks are stable by themselves, but none are stable in pairs?

sorry, not sure what you mean by this redface.gif you tried a new 4GB stick and it works fine?

what about if you run one stick in slot 1 and one stick in slot 4 ? maybe the problem is from running in dual channel?

seems like a motherboard issue if not RAM.

Hello

It is complicated to explain to me because the translator hehe.

Well

The memory worked fine before. Both in the blue slots. Now only works in slot 1. I put a memory in slot 1 and it works, put the other memory in the same slot and it works.

Put a memory in slot 1 and the other in slot 2 and will not work. Put a memory in slot two and does not work. I put a 4GB memory in slot 1 and does not work.

I hope you understand. : /

no problem. I understand now biggrin.gif

probably an issue with the motherboard. it could also be a CPU/memory controller problem but it's not likely.

but the only way to test is to try a different one. redface.gif
