Okay, I ran memtest86+ overnight. It did 11 passes with no errors. I'm guessing it is the PSU then.
Going to browse Newegg for PSUs, if anyone has any recommendations for my current rig let me know. Preferably a modular PSU as I have a mid sized case and extra wires can get in the way.

Whats your budget?

I would recommend getting something from Corsair, Coolermaster, Thermaltake, Antec, or OCZ.

It should be plenty of power for future upgrades while being semi-modular. The cables that don't come out will probably be used anyway so there is no need to not have them hardwired in.

very good advice. its not as if op has a massively power hungry rig though for the psu he has.i just bought the corsair gs800 to replace the antec high current gamer constant 520. im very impressed and has good reviews online. also compliments my new case with changeable led on the fan. would highly recommend
