TMPIN2 Overheating - Page 6

From that screen shot it looks like it is already downclocked using cool & quiet feature on the board. First thing I would do is go into BIOS and reset everything to optimal settings, and keep everything at stock speed. If that doesnt correct what ever is off, RMA the board. Something is not right with the voltage control. If that doesnt get it, then it is time to upgrade to a 9xx series board.

Also, that particular board is better suited for Athalon 2s, even though it says it can support P2s, it pushes the board too hard. Maybe a P2x2, maybe. Something to think about when you get a mATX board. If you want to run a P2, the board must have better phase power.

Its all a learning process. Now you know. Try what I suggested and then if you can find an A2 or P2 x 2 for cheap swap it out. Aso, fill out your system specs, that will help us understand what you are working with better. Another option is to get a better cooler and add some fans for better air flow. Or park you case infront of the A/C rolleyes.gif

Your case supports an ATX board, why did you get a micro board?
You can also upgrade the front and rear case fans, add a fan on the side that will put air on the chip set. Maybe get an H60 for the CPU.

TMPIN0 is the Motherboards PCB Temp
TMPIN1 is the CPU Temps Not Core
TMPIN 2 is the VRM'S for Gigabyte Boards i think

So The Temperature Sensor Is either Screwed Or It is Acctually Getting that Hot ! ohno-smiley02.gif

My TMPIN 2 Is Reaching Just Over 50c When i play Games, With No Cooling on them, I have a FX 4100 Stock is 50C high aswell and what is the Max Temp of Vrm's without The CPU being Throttled?
This is My Board- http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3809#ov

Sorry OP For Asking another Question Saves Me Opening a Whole New Thread biggrin.gif

you guys told me that I shouldn't buy a GIGABYTE board again....
and by the way, will changing for a new board, its gonna solve my problem 100%?
I know that my CPU is overheating, but it can't be that it reduces my FPS that much, I mean 70c is not that much while playing...., and yes i have a DEEP COOLER GAMA BLADE cooler, some thirdie cooler I guess >:

1. Nobody said NOT to go in for a Gigabyte board. Its only that the board you have is not equipped to handle the 955 due to the 3+1 phase count.
2. 70c is definitely TOO much. The threshold for Phenoms is 62c.
