Is a 750w psu good for this system?

G.Skill Ares 8GB 1600 mhz
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB+Crucial M4 64GB
Cheapo ODD
Radeon 7870 OC
Hyper 212 EVO

Just wondering, how many watts do a closed loop such as the H100 pull?

Also when I am experienced enough I will do some custom loops.

EDIT:God i am so stupid had to go somewhere again sad-smiley-002.gif psu, sorry -_-

Assuming a decent brand PSU that actually delivers 750w, you are more than fine. You could probably crossfire 7870's and still be ok. H100 doesn't use alot of power, I would guess 5w for the pump and maybe 2.5w for each fan? It uses standard 4 pin molex and motherboard header connections.

A 750 watt power supply will be fine. Just buy a good name brand. The h100 hardly pulls any wattage at all. You are good to go. Thanks

Anyway, all this system would need is a quality 450W power supply:

http://www.guru3d.com/article/amd-radeon-hd-7850-and-7870-review/7

Their system pulled 274W from the wall outlet with just the 7870 under full load, so if the CPU were to be maxed out simultaneously and if both the 7870 and CPU were overclocked, then that would end up making the system pull about 400W from the PSU, maybe 425W.

A quality 750W unit could even be considered over kill for a system like that as it would run fine even on a good 550W. The H100 does not use a lot of power BinaryDemon is probably in the ball park with the 5W estimate. A 750w unit is a good choice if you want to crossfire(even with more power hungry cards) later other wise use the money saved on some other part of your system (or just a really good and efficient 550-650W unit).

Well that will pretty much power any current corssfire or SLI card configuration even with OC. Overkill but I to like to have plenty of over head when I choose a PSU. After all the PSU is most likely to be the longest lasting part of any build.

That's close to being exactly twice the amount that you need, but it is a damn good PSU.

Like I said, even a quality 450W PSU would be more than enough.  I could even recommend a quality 400W power supply, but I don't want you to have no room for upgrades.
