layover in S. Korea

I've heard so much about these amazing Korean monitors and I want one. Conveniently, my wife will be taking a trip home of the Philippines by way of S. Korea (Incheon int'l airport), flying back she will have ~6 hour layover. I'm fairly sure it would be difficult to leave the airport since it's only a connecting flight but is there anyway, someone can think of, that will allow her to purchase a monitor or 4 for me? I highly doubt there would be a store in the airport that sells these, but maybe there is.

ALSO... I don't know what to look for besides resolution and connectors... brands and such that are over there... obviously yamakasi catleap, but since she'll be there what's a good one to get that will be best for the money... and by best for the money I mean cheap but still quality.

Any ideas would be welcome and appreciated! thumb.gif

You probably won't find one in the airport. If you search for monitor stores though, you might be able to find one.
The thing is though, if you order one in the US you are only paying around $100 more than what you would in Korea. Since I doubt you can fit it in your suitcase, you'll have to ship it back and that will cost quite a bit.

As long as she doesn't need a visa to enter the country (which I don't think she does if she's a US citizen) it should be fairly easy for her to go wherever she wants. I do it all the time on layovers.

She'd have a hard time explaining why she's carrying several huge monitors through US customs though.

she might be able to leave the airport depending on visa requiremnts also commute times into the city might be a hassel. i have before on a 4 hour layover in singapore gone out for an hour.

carrying one back she might get hit up for fees for overweight with her luggage which can sometimes cost a bit.. that will gome down the the particular flight and airline.. i was lucky once on a flight from aust - thailand with 5KG of cherries and 20KG of mangoes which they let me carry with no extra fees..

she could try tho i think in the end, as mentioned above it might be better to just buy one in the US smile.gif

I was curious about the extra cost... if she could pack a few in her checked luggage, or even pack it in a box and check it, it may be worth it... but you're right that $100 more isn't that bad for the extra hassle of her attempting to do it... and she already isn't too comfortable at airports, especially since I won't be with her.

stop taunting me with the mango's lol
and she may forget... she's flying korean air and she will have my passes for the sky lounge so...

That catleap thread is just tooo huge... I was reading it back when it started but after it got to page 15 I started losing interest.

Thanks for the help scratching my brain guys! Took some of the haze out from my excitement to see it's really not necessary for her to get one while she's there... I will probably go the ebay route thumb.gif

Don't even get me started on the produce here in the states. Especially here in NY. There are only three good fruits/vegetables here - the corn, the watermelon, and the strawberries. Everything else tastes like cardboard.
