I think having one rad on each side would clutter up the case with tubing too much, so I've decided to put both rads on one side.

Rad-same-side.jpg

However, since I want the most tubing hidden from the outside of the case, to keep outside appearances as clean as possible, this forces me to drill through holes from both rads through the side of the case. I might use the end feed/exit from the rearmost rad but the front rad will pass through the side. It's going to be a challenge but there's a plan. smile.gif

Rad-same-side-inside.jpg

Rad pass through just next to the fan. Drive bays block some of the fan too much for my liking but it is what it is. Can't swap places in this case like you can in a fulltower. biggrin.gif

Pumpres-mount.jpg

For pump bracket I was thinkin about sacrificing one of the HDD modules, cut it to size and paint it black. It's slim, lightweight and strong enough to hold the pump/res.

Time to get some moar hardware. biggrin.gif

And I'm pretty sure I'll go for 120mm GT's with 140mm-120mm fan adapters. Unless somebody has a good suggestion for a fan that performs/sounds like a 140mm Gentle Typhoon version.

It's movin along. smile.gif

DSC-0001.jpg

WHen I got the SSD it came with a bracket. A nice and sturdy one, so I just cut a the angled side off of it and used it for a pump "plateau". Worked out good.

DSC-0002.jpg

Some pass through holes for the front rad. I ditched the plans for pass throughs for the rear rad. Not enough real estate.

DSC-0003.jpg

Worked out pretty good. Had to use an angled swivel for the lower barb to clear the mobo. It is pretty tight in there, as you'll see later on.

DSC-0004.jpg

Kinda sorta what I thought was a good idea. It didn't play out so I ditched most swivels for the pump/rear rad setup. It got too complicated. smile.gif

DSC-0005.jpg

So I went to stripping the GFX card. Not very impressive stock reference coolers. Cheap stuff, really.

DSC-0006.jpg

But they certainly don't cheap out on TIM amount. Holy crap!

DSC-0007.jpg

Very nice PCB on the GTX670. Small and cute. smile.gif

More updates in just a few moments.

Almost done. Here's some of the latest:

DSC-0008.jpg

Now that the rads are in place, time to get some stuff installed. It's so tight between the mobo and bottom barb of the front rad, the swivel clears a cap with only about 2mm lol.

DSC-0009.jpg

Gotta love Tygon tough. Really makes tight turns a breeze. Drilled another hole in the backpanel for the return.

DSC-0010.jpg

Had a minor brainfart installing the tubes for the front rad. It just wouldn't bleed lol.

DSC-0011.jpg

Here's a major airflow obstruction I had to fix a little. The bays completely blocks half the fan surface, so I cutout the lower bay a bit, but still left some to fix a fancontroller below the optical.

DSC-0013.jpg

First testrun after swapping the tubes for the front rad. Much better. Bled out like a boss!

DSC-0015.jpg

DSC-0017.jpg

DSC-0014.jpg

And there it is. smile.gif Should take some darker shots too. Got it running @ 4.2gHz right now with 58-ish load temps, 33-ish idle and no heat saturation. Well there is heat saturation but the temps drop back down to 33-ish very nicely so no worries about rad surface yet. Time will show when I try hit the higher voltages. Right now it's 1.18Vcore. I can strongly recommend the Coolgate 60mm thick rads.
