Sweet. Hopefully the newboard after the RMA will work. Online it seems far too many people are getting DOAed with this board. Maybe I should've gotten the RIVE instead...

Also, adjusting VCCSA and VTT voltages to 1.104 has helped me gain some ram stability.

I'm trying to use 2133 speed

today I discover that one block was faulty (code 67 motherboard)

Guys check in your bios and let me know if your "SOUND EFFECT" is working when enabled under "TOOLS" mine is not working for some reason even though i have enabled it. I also have the latest Bios version being 3.00.

I had the rampage and got this board because the rampage was playing up. I dont think it really matters as long as the company looks after you. All there policies are pretty much the same it just depends on who you buy it from and or if you find a hassle getting your RMA. But it sounds like you are being looked after. I am having a problem at the moment with my Sound effect in the bios as its not working, so it prooves that no matter what you get there is going to be some sort of problem unless you are lucky enough to be hassle free. Its the luck of the draw. Its how we deal with these problems that matter the most in the long run and who we deal with that gets us what we deserve for our money.

I need some help with my 5.1 audio.

Ive tried using hdmi from my GPU's and it works when not in SLI but as soon as i span screens in SLI it doesnt work anymore.

I have Optical out from the MB to the AV Receiver and im only getting 2.1. Ive tried changing every setting but cant find it.

I spoke to the guy at the hifi shop and he had no knowledge of PC and Optical but showed me a Bluray player with bitstreaming enabled played 5.1 over optical and when he switched it to 44khz it only played in 2.0.

What am I missing lol has anyone got 5.1 hooked up to their extreme11?

Have you got a sound card? For my 7.1 setup i use a sound card with HDMI dts ma(out) and run that to my HDMI(in) on my denon AVPA1HD pre/pro and then run hdmi(out) AVPA1HD to the HDMI in on the monitor. I use DVI (out) on my video card to HDMI in on my sound card and then i make the settings in my (SOUNDS) menu in windows which is a right click on the volume control options tab in the bottom right hand corner on your screen. But dont forget to go into your nvidia settings to set up your monitors.Thats the best i can explain it in terms of what i am doing as its all i have ever done and my sli still works as i just use the second dvi port on my video card as mine has 3 being the GTX690. I dont use optical at all as my video card and my AVPA1HD supports DTSMA and that can only be achieved through HDMI not optical. Hope this helps

what sound card do you have?

I just bought a gtx 660 for the 4th and final slot on my MB. it cost $200 but hopefully it can be my sound card/pass through vessel for hdmi into my AVR and maybe it can do some physx as well lol. Do 3 titans need help with physx? rolleyes.gif

im interested to see what sound card you have. If you could post some pictures and some links to the components your using that would be great. I looked for a sound card and I searched and searched and could not find a sound card that is still made with hdmi out.

+ REP for the help too bro!

If you're using an AVR why not just use optical out?
