Umm I thought Pixar made the movie not Disney.

EDIT: Yep Disney only distributed it in the US and Canada. They had nothing to do with the production.

Nope

"Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) built animatronic WALL-Es to promote the picture, which made appearances at Disneyland Resort; the Franklin Institute; the Miami Science Museum; the Seattle Center; and the Tokyo International Film Festival."

No, but considering that the WALL-E we're talking about took 2 years to build, was built by one man, and he uses it for charity work, the guy that built it is an insanely smart and giving person. Those traits are mutually exclusive most of the time.

Yes, Disney's Animatronic WALL-E is better, but it probably cost about 50x the amount of money and work to develop too. Not to mention Disney has some 50-odd years of robotic experience behind them.

there was a wall-e at the FRC World Championships, cruising in the pits this year tongue.gif i thought it might have been the same one, but i remembered some guy was controlling it with a Wii controller :/ and the person that built it didn't go into as much detail as this guy has.

here is a video someone posted (not my team's robot or video) if anyone is interested

This guy literally lives down the street from me... Anywho.. This is amazing. Hats off to this guy. If I ever see him around, I will definitely be walking up to him and giving him a solid handshake, smile, and a thank you. thumb.gif The least he deserves.

I would donate to him as a charity, not to other charity's though, paying peoples wages....

This is giving, not taking, and wonderful to see the kids soo happy in those hospital beds when they see his robots, it's like "Woah! my dream has come true! they really doo exist!" etc etc.

This guy has my +1 thumb.gif
