The new MOH looks promising. I do believe that they hope to get a bit of popularity by bringing Battlefield into their marketing strategies, but this does not mean they intend to carbon-copy everything from BF. A lot of people hated the 2010 release's multiplayer and loved the singleplayer. People often forget that Danger Close worked on the fantastic singleplayer while DICE were given free-reign over the multiplayer component. DICE experimented with MOH 2010's multiplayer to see how gamers reacted to certain elements of the design for their upcoming project: BF3. In many ways the multiplayer failed, but ultimately it was due to it being made by a company better suited for large-scale warfare and not small urban warfare. Danger Close has been given complete control over Warfighter, so it will be interesting to see how they implement the lessons learned from DICE and other shooters into the multiplayer component while staying true to the quality of the singleplayer experience they created in 2010. I am not saying the game will be amazing, most people who have played early builds of the game have mixed opinions. I am interested to see if they can bring any innovation into the modern military shooter genre. We will have to see, but I rate it will be worth purchasing based on what I have heard from critics who have played recent builds.
