Antec Aria psu mod?

Thread Starter
I can get an NSK1300 locally cheap for my htpc. The only downside is the psu. It's only 300w and known for blowing. It is also proprietary, so nothing else fits

I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to fit a micro atx psu in it. It would be perfect for my needs as a case if so. I can't find any other micro atx "cube" cases that fit a budget.

I've looked around and there seems to be no hope. What makes the PSU propriety though? Is it long an slim? And are you good with a Drill and Dremel? biggrin.gif

It's like the same type of PSU Dell uses in their sff cases. Same general shape. Designed specifically for that case.

I work with a drill and dremel every day at work. tongue.gif I looked into putting a micro atx psu in by that method, but it leaves almost no room above the cpu for a cooler.

Finding a case is going to be the bane of this build, lol.

No room? Have you considered a U1/U2 cooler?

I really don't know. It's aggravating that I can't find a sff case suitable for htpc/lan that is actually a reasonable price.
