Wall mount a monitor?

Thread Starter
How would I go about doing this - just drill holes into the drywall for the mount or..? What kind of mount would I need for a 20-21" 1600x900 monitor?

you will need to locate your studs in the wall and mount something like this then run your wires inside the wall to the bottom where you would open another hole and bring the wires out. You will most likely need longer video cables and longer power cords or a power receptacle installed behind the monitors since I don't recommend extending the electrical wires in the wall.

or you could always use some industrial strength Velcro tape. biggrin.gif

But no out of entire seriousness I have mounted a monitor with velcro tape, just make sure there is a metal or aluminum plate mounted to the wall so the velcro tape doesn't pull the pain off the wall. thumb.gif

Edit:
You will still need to find the studs in the wall though, that way the mounting plate doesn't get ripped off the drywall. wink.gif
