Second res in loop/Pump Question

Thread Starter
Hi all,
I have been making so many threads over the past few days, feel like I am spamming a bit but don't want to make mistakes with my next upgrade.
2 quick questions. smile.gif

First will be XSPC res/pump combo from the 240 rasa kit (XSPC 750 Pump + Reservoir combo) be powerfull enough to run CPU + 420 + 240 + GPU + GPU + Extra Res?

Second, does it hurt to put a second res in the loop if the pump is strong enough?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

I would personally go with 2 pumps
Second res would help your temps

More water = longer it takes for cpu to heat up under load
Faster water = faster heat distribution
Larger radiator = more heat dissipation/ cooler temperatures

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose the Rasa kit instead of the newer and higher performance Raystorm kit?

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15402/ex-wat-207/XSPC_Raystorm_RX240_Extreme_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_w_RX240_Radiator_and_Free_Kill_Coil_Hot_item.html?id=iACRyFeL&mv_pc=590

As the site says, compared to the Rasa kit, you get:
-Pump Upgrade to the D5 (Alphacool VPP Single)
-CPU Block upgraded to the newer, better performing Raystorm
-Choice of tubing color
-Compression fittings instead of barbs

no, res offers real no restriction or gain.
id reccommend the DDC or D5 pump for that style of loop.
