By the way, which ATX motherboard has the highest OC potential tongue.gif

Asus has great boards when they work and the worst customer support, I had few gigabyte boards and they were awesome. I just purchased my first Asrock board and it Overclocks very nice plus it has everything you need rather than putting useless things on board that you will never use. Msi has been having problems with their sandy boards same with Evga but i think they improved on the Z77 boards its really up to you, pick what you need on the board and let us know which boards you like then we can narrow it down for you.

I read something about a 32 phase Gigabyte motherboard somewhere, do phases increase your OC potential :/ ?

Yes and no. Better power delivery will to some degree improve the stability and its important that the power delivery can withstand the increased wattage with out blowing up (pretty much a none issue now days). That been said more phases does not automatically mean better.

I'd advise against an externally mounted radiator.

I always compare such things to a radiator mounted on the front bumper of a car. It's just a mistake waiting to happen, even if airflow is good.

Besides, it's fugly, so, so fugly.

No. With Sandy and Ivy CPUs, you're limited by the batch your proc was in much more than your motherboard.

And this. A whole litter of kittens cries themselves to sleep when you mount your rad outside the case. Think of the kittens.

Naw tongue.gif

I had one myself a few years ago. The number of times it nearly got damaged was enough for me to change my perspective. It also made the rig awkward to carry/move around and is just more of a risk.

It's even worse on those rigs that have the radiator completely seperated from the tower - say, sitting in a pool or by a window. Noooooo thank you smile.gif

Not sure about that mech keyboard, I would get something like a CM storm / quickfire blue or brown ( overall brown is a better switch for typing and gaming while blue is the better choice for just typing ) You are also missing some tubing and compression fittings, silver coil other than that is looking good
