Getting the DVD key from an Xbox 360 motherboard

Thread Starter
Is there a way to retrieve the DVD key from the Xbox motherboard so it can be flashed to a new DVD drive. I've acquired a Xbox as a fix it project and I think the previous owner flashed the DVD but some how messed it up. I think the key might have been messed up in the flash process. This is my first attempt at this so if you provide details or links to such that would be most appreciated. I am an experienced computer builder. Thanks.

I think it's against the TOS, maybe the previous owner flashed it without taking note of the DVD player brand.

Yeah, it's against the TOS sadly. I would suggest looking for help on a modding-centric forum instead. Good luck.
