Painting tips? I want to start modding and painting controllers and consoles.

What kind of paint should I be using? Do I need to use a different paint for the buttons/thumbsticks? Will the paint last? I don't want it to just wear off. I imagine that is what a clear coat would be for? (If you can't tell, I'm new to painting)

I also want to start modding them in unconventional ways. I was thinking I would probably be doing mostly wireless controllers, but a fun project would be sleeving for a wired controller. What do you think? Suggestions for 'cool' mods?

I've only painted on XBox 360 and a couple of controllers. I just used Krylon flat camouflage paint and it worked quite well.

On the controllers, the part where the stick touches the housing will come off with use. It's only a very small area so it never bothered me. I wouldn't recommend painting the thumbsticks, though; the paint will certainly come off of them in very short order, and it would probably end up looking pretty crappy. I think you can buy them in different colors, though.

Don't forget that to take apart the wireless controllers you'll need a special tool. I think it's a T6S. It's a Torx head with a hole for a security stud. It's not present on the wired version.
