No signal with 7970 (Sapphire) - Page 2

Even if the video card was bad you should still be getting some LED activity on your keyboard, at least, as well as some sort of POST audio. Did you make sure ALL of the power connectors are connected to the motherboard itself? There is the 24-pin power connector on the far right center of the board, and you also have an 8 pin power connector in the upper left corner of the board. A lot of people forget about the power in the upper left and without it, you have nothing!

Basically if you leave the 8-pin unplugged the board behaves as if it was just completely dead, nothing happens with the exception of maybe some fan rotation.

I forgot the 8 pin one on my first boot, but I've plugged it in and now it still isn't working. Also, I don't have the post beep speaker plugged in as I could find it in the manual or on the board.

Sometimes you have to run on your onboard video long enough to get all of the drivers installed and to make sure that your card is being recognized before it will actually start producing a signal. You have at least an i5 sandy bridge I presume, so you should be able to run off of your mobo HDMI to get everything taken care of.

I considered that, like I said, the computer isn't here at the moment, but I will try that if it isn't fixed.
