I have a quad sli bridge with a PSU and mobo that support quad sli but my PC still can't enable quad sli. GPU-Z and CPU-Z both show that the card is plugged in and working but nvidia won't enable quad sli. EDIT: Device Manager is reporting error 43.
Try these first:
-Turn PC off, wait a minuite then turn back on. Sometimes a quick hard reboot can fix alot of minor problems.
-Update or reinstall GPU drivers. Update Windows as well.
If those don't work, it looks like it's applying to one of the GPUs. I would reseat all of them. Also what I would do is remove one of them one at a time to see if it still causes the problem. That way if it is one of the GPUs you can isolate it the problem.

what is the advantage of quad sli? I know you'll get high benchmarks, but do any games really utilise the power of quad 680's? or is there some other type or real world use for them?
quick question if i may...

No plan on multiple monitors. When a solid 30" 120hz monitor comes out I will pick one up. I don't like high latency or turning my head along with bezels. I like to game competitively in ESEA. I have tried IPS panels and multiple monitors but for my current wants I find it unsatisfactory. Thanks though guys!
Try tri sli with gpus that are being detected using your molex adapter and two pcie connectors. If it is detected as sli then your molex adapter is at fault.

It is kind of weird and frustrating for a 1200 watt psu not to have eight pcie connectors. Get the cooler master silent pro hybrid 1300 watt one. It has 8 (6+2) pcie connectors. It also has received some of the best reviews on net. Either buy that or get another psu for the fourth card. Best of Luck.

I have a silent pro hybrid 1300. The thing is great, but I ran out of 8 pin pcie power with 4 classified 680's and a Rampage IV Extreme, so I was forced to split a few for the time being.
Got my silverstone PSU and a watercooler today and quad sli is working great!
