There are 2 drivers for the dual 35x2s; I want to run them at low power to minimize noise, and I was worried about pushing all the water through the radiators; having since run PSI calculations I can tell I didn't need to worry, but I have the pump now, so I'll use it.[/quote

What do you mean by two drivers? Plus the radiators you have in your build now, are low restriction.

But anyway, interesting build.

By drivers, he is saying reasons.

Ok, well looking forward to seeing the temps from the 80mm thick rads.

Fri morning's update - I pulled the motherboard out and removed the tubing, it just wasn't what I wanted. I also pulled off all the temp sensors and pumps so I could re-sleeve them all with black.

I did finish the wiring harnesses for the fans on the 5 rads and got them installed.

NewEgg is having a 48 hour sale on a bunch of items; I picked up 2 more Barracuda 3T drives, with $30 off and another $23 off so the drives cost me about $120 each. I just couldn't pass up that low cost storage. This means I'll likely run 2 drives in Raid 0 for a better video storage drive, and then run the other 2 normally as mass storage. I'll have over 12T of storage on the beast.

Here's the plan for Fri night and the weekend:

  • Resleeve pumps and temp sensors
  • Create fan harness for the Swiftech Helix's up front
  • Create lighting harnesses for the duckbill switches in the ped
  • Put the lighting on the 120.3 so I can finish that installation
  • Place the missing fan on the 120.3 and re-add the reservoirs
  • Redo the motherboard tubing
  • Do the rad tubing
  • Drill fill hole and case to ped pass-thru holes
  • Create Aquaero power cable and attach all the harnesses and sensors to the Aquaero
  • Create SSD/HDD power cables; SATA cables are already sleeved
  • 24 hour leak test - booya!

I doubt I'll get to doing temp testing but I am hoping to at least boot up, install the OS, and make sure everything still works after replacing the factory air cooling with water.

Thanks guys, I'll try to get some pics up Sunday.

Ran into a snag today, I didn't realize I was so low on 3-pin hooded fan connectors, and I've run out, which derails some of the planned wiring like the lighting connectors and the front right wiring harness.

I plan to proceed with the tubing and wiring to the accessories from the PSU, so still hoping for a 24 hour leak test this weekend.

I did get the 120.3 lighting installed, and if it's a sign of how the build will look once all the lighting is done I am pretty stoked. I'll take a picture of the lighting for sure.

Well I didn't get everything on my list done but ...

The leak test has started!!

I had 2 leaks, one bad one on the chipset block which took me 4 tries to fix, and one small one around a res fill port that was pretty simple to fix. Pictures later tonight, just going to relax before supper and bask in the accomplishment.

I'll take some pics later tonight.
