[Build Log] 800D Revision 3 Copper Piping COMPLETED!!! - Page 3

Very nice work, can I ask where you sourced the piping from? my current rig has an copper theme, same CPU blocks in fact... but could always use some more for overkill biggrin.gif

www.coppertubingsales.com has a 12mm 10 meter roll. It is annealed copper though and would require filling the inside with something solid to avoid creasing. I just froze my pipes with water inside and they worked out fine.

I was going to comment on how cool the blue coolant looked in your reservoir with the green, then the rest of the pictures loaded. Why does cooper look so cool? thumb.gif

Are those some sort of solid push-in fittings for solid pipes? Never used solid piping before, now that I see how kewl yours came out, I might use solid piping for my build as well.

Yeah, there is no other way to do it as far as I know. I'm sure the OP had to do several leak tests before turning his system on to ensure a snug fit .

Looks good, great job. Did you clear coat the pipes with something? If I'm not mistaking, copper oxidizes pretty fast so you may loose your polishing job if you didn't clear them.

Yeah I know. :/ The only problem is that the mobo is almost 4 years old and I am going to upgrade my rig in less than a year. the GTX 670 is doing an amazing job and I plan on getting 1 more and putting of them under water for my next rig biggrin.gif
