Best Rad for a 800D?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, im trading up to a 800D in a few days and want to plan for some new raddage. I want prefer a 480 since i plan to mod the top of the case. What is the best combo of rad thickness and fan speed that will fit inside my 800D?

I've heard that the XSPC rads are good quality and performance to price ratio, the RX EX RS ect. I already have two GT 3000rpm fans on a Scythe Master Ace fan controller, although i would be open to other fans to replace them on the 480. I will probably keep the GTs for my 240 i plan on putting in the bottom of the case.

You can fit a 480 up top and 240 on the bottom if you are willing to mod the case, if not just go with a good 360 rad up top like the Alphacool NexXxos UT60 360. You can also check out a review of most of the 360 rads to help you pick a rad with this review.

as far as fans go, Ill be needing 8 more for my 480. I honestly don't like the whine of the GT's and wouldnt buy them again unless im doing a performance build. I've heard good things about the Corsair and Cougar series fans.

Those are the ones. They come in either black or orange. The ones you linked are the black ones.

Edit: You can get them for about half that price here. They do ship internationally and I'm sure they will cost less even after higher shipping costs.

I thought those cougars had a low static pressure of 1.73mm H2O?

Edit: The Corsair Sp120's have a Static pressure of 3.1 mm/H20 but are much louder.
