Hi OCN,
I'm in the process of building a new computer, and I'm interested in buying a Fractal;, mostly because I love the simple yet elegant aesthetics.
So I thought about the Define XL. I've heard good things, very good thing about this case, at least in the most important areas to me, which are cooling, appearance and build quality/solidity.
However, I'm concerned with one thing : the front door of the define series... I've seen on some sites it was not made of true aluminium, but rather plastic with a glued thin sheet of brushed aluminium on it.
So my question is... is it still solid? I mean, is that door made of plastic thick enough? And that glue between the plastic and aluminium, is it done well? Not noticeable and solid?
Give me your thoughts, Define XL owners
Also interested in R3, which is a shrink of XL, so I guess it's the same story with the door...
Thanks,
Yannick
