600w enough for a 690?

I am not sure if 600w would be enough to power a system with a 690.. I have the corsair cx600 v2 from an older build and I wanted to reuse it biggrin.gif If it's not enough i'll get the ax750 from corsair tongue.gif
Specs:
Corsair CX600 V2
Gigabyte GA-X79-UD7
Intel Core i7 3820
Corsair 600t
WD RE4 1tb
Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz 16gb

I actually think this might work.

The TDP of this card is relatively low, if someone can push a 670 oc to hell and back on a 400 watt psu, why wouldn't another 200 watts push a 690?

I guess I recommend not taking my recommendation until someone else has chimed in. I have no played with a 690 yet. :\

It should work, the wattage that will be drawn from the system should be around 550w on ful load, but i'm not sure if my powersupply will handle that load...

I found this online calculator...put in your PC specs and it spits out a wattage it recommends...it might help you.

600W may be very close to the TDP. The CX-serie isn't that great, but it's not bad either. It will work, but I wouldn't do it myself.
Go for the AX750, is my answer.

It should be fine on that PSU, the 690 is about a 270 watt card, and reviews have shown that systems with the card only pulled up to 470 watts from the wall. 750 watts would just be needless overkill.

However, the CX600 is more like a 500 watt PSU at best, so I would recommend getting a better 600-650 watt PSU for the job.
