Number key help.

Hopefully this will be just a quick question for you guys.

I have a razer black widow ultimate keyboard, and everything was working just fine a few minutes ago.

I went to go get a sandwich and when I came back, the top number keys weren't working. The number pad keys still work fine, and even the symbols can type just fine (!@#$%^&*() ).

Any idea what would disable just the top numbers?

I don't know, but I recommend rebooting.  If that doesn't work, then unplug the keyboard and plug it back in.

I had already done those two things. I did however do a firmware update and that seems to have worked. I am starting to get annoyed with the crappy software razer develops for their products : (

It may be time to get a simple mechanical keyboard such as a Filco Majestouch or a Leopold, or something of that nature.

Oh yeah most definitely. However I am going to have to wait until this keyboard bites the dust completely. I only bought it along with my naga epic 4 months ago. Considering I paid 250 bucks for both of these products I want them to last at least a few more months.

And you know, the funny thing is that the keyboard and mouse as an actual piece of hardware is just fine. No issues what so ever with the physical hardware. The software however sucks. 99.999999% of my issues are coming this razer synapse thing.

I would get rid of it and just program my own drivers for the darn thing myself, but I wouldn't know how to program the ability to bind my keys and such. So I am kind of stuck with this crap.

I think you misunderstand. The new firmware FIXED my problem. It didn't cause it.

Or am I the one who is misunderstanding you?
