Maybe it's to "simulate" what you would see between the two. But I wonder this as well since a screenshot is just a single frame.

Since A screen shot can not be blurry, those are not just screenshots, maybe with a camera or special method.

I have one such monitor. I did not buy it from Ebay but it was made in Korea. It blew up my 670 GTX. redface.gif
Stuck with 100hz on my old 480 GTX till my 670 gets RMA'd, then back to 120hz.

I really don't understand why these things are so hard to get. The demand is there and the price isn't too high.

There are ways (camera rigs) that you can use to take pictures of screens and then compare the amount of blur. However thous pics look way to clean (usually you can see pixel lines and what not) so I would vager they are simulated (fake) but that does not mean they are not accurate (based of real measurements).

Get both, it's awesome for BF3. I am still cr@p, but still a lot better than what I was before. I got mine 2 weeks ago after 3 months of trying and was well worth the effort. Sorry, I can't tell you what I did to get it though.
Cheers,

Are you guys talking about the PixPerAn pictures? They are just captured using a normal camera at high sensitivity. They give a freeze frame that won't really replicate exactly what the eye sees but does offer a comparison between monitors in terms of pixel responsiveness. The slower the pixels transition from one state to another the more pronounced the trailing both in those pictures and to the keen eye. They are also useful for identifying degrees of overdrive trailing and artifacts. They are used by TFT Central and my own site (pcmonitors.org) as well.

I still have a 20" Samsung CRT that is excellent........ save for the space it depletes on my desk.... which is why it's in the garage unused.

Am I the only one who buys/builds his desk around the monitor? Honestly, people put so much emphasis on the bulk of the CRT, and make out that it's a huge issue, but I've always seen it as such a minor issue. Like if you have a luxury car, it tends to be bigger and harder to park, but it's worth the extra effort.

People are always mentioning CRTs in these threads, and half the time I'm not sure if they're serious or being facetious, but the fact is; pixel to pixel, a high quality CRT absolutely obliterates any LCD available to us consumers in terms of raw image quality and motion.

CRT's are absolutely horrible pieces of junk. My friend was using one once and I tried using it for about 10 minutes and I started to get a headache. We then proceeded to take it out side, and shoot it.

New flatscreen LCD, and especially the really new ones are much better in terms of quality and smoothness.
