If I recall Albert Einstein had trouble during his school years and I think we all agree that he was a true genius. At least by my definition he was. And to be clear I don't think Mark Zuckerberg is a genius. Smart yes, genius no.

He is just the average horny "please someone accept me" kid, who happens to be a bit more knowledgeable. Facebook, as amazing as it is has areas it could improve. Large parts of the site are really not used, stuff like marketplace, etc. You can't see a commercial or a tv program these days that don't have some sort of facebook link at the end, how about a guide system where users can post about the company and any and all annoyances they might have with them? Sort of like a brand ranking....instead of just a wall and some guy copy and pasting generic sentences.

I think of him as the man who introduced food to the hungry, is he a genius? No...he just happened to be playing around with what people want. Especially in college, all you want is to interact and see chicks...anywhere and everywhere.

Not a good programmer IMO. FB is the most bugged piece of software I have Ever seen smile.gif Elementary mistakes were made. Can't give examples right now, just an overall impression accumulated over the years.

i never have problems with fb,,. so I don't know what you are talking about. As for him being a genius, I say no. Just a real good salesman. He originally made FB for college students only.. but he decided to move it out to the public and it wiped myspace off the map. He just got lucky cause all the 12 year olds were taking over myspace at the time and everyone wanted a place to go that didn't have a swarm of little kids.

Einstein was a genius. Zuckerberg is a bastard who's creation has damaged millions of people's social lives, wasted millions of work hours, accelerated the increase of shallow-minded, vain psychologically susceptible teens, GLOBALLY, all for his profit. On the whole, a crime I can only compare to the holocaust, just with slightly less morbid motives. Call me a sensationalist, but that's how I see it. I can't say I've been effected personally by facebook, but I can see the effects it has on one's life and interactions with others. Edward Bernays would be proud.

One's capacity for knowledge is not an indication of intelligence and those who value knowledge over objective thought often lack intelligence. Intelligence is the ability to act in the present and make a-new, knowledge capacity is the ability to recite the past. Both are essential, but very different things.

Also, there is only one definition of genius, http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/genius. Besides, true genius would realise how neurotic the majority of Harvard students are and probably leave simply because of that.
