Hyper212plus / Rampage IV Extreme

I'm currently in the middle of a build with my son and having a problem with installing the Hyper 212 Plus on the Rampage IV Extreme mother board. The screws that attach the cooler bottom out in the provided standoffs before the cooler is solidly in place. I don't see a real solution so I thought that someone may have seen this before and can help.

The Hyper 212 + isn't officially compatible with socket 2011. Are you using this bracket? It is available at cmstore.com

The 212 plus is only compatible with the following:
Intel®:
Sandy Bridge 1155
Socket LGA 1366 / 1155 / 1156 / 775

AMD™:
Socket FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2


The 212 Evo is the newer version and will be compatible with the LGA 2011
Intel Socket:
LGA 2011 / 1366 / 1156 / 1155 / 775 *

AMD Socket:
FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2
