The LEDs are loose because they aren't the ones that came with the kit, bought white ones to use instead and they kind of vary. Nothing wrong with a dill in plexi, just have to be sure you don't go too deep, haha.
The fitting have a knicked o-ring or something? I am not looking forward to redoing my loop, lol. Well, leak testing anyways, definitely going to do it in two parts again like I did last time. My build was made more for looks and performance rather than ease to work on, lol.
I figured I'd better ask, because I know several people that have their birthday on the 20th, and I keep running into more. My dad's birthday is also on the 20th, and my wife's cousin in Birch Bay, and two friends of ours, all were born on July 20th. I was thinking of starting a club.
Well, here's hoping yours is a good one, and you have a freshly-powder coated case to celebrate!
I see what you did there with the leds then! I guess that if you used glue to fill the gap it could screw up the effect, so it's not easy to fix. I decided not to risk drilling out mine though.
The o-ring looked fine on the leaking fitting, but I do have lots of replacement rings. I tried a Bitspower o-ring, since they're thicker, on another one, which seemed to seal it ok, but I decided to take them all off as I don't trust them now. They seem kind of wobbly around the swivel compared to the Bitspower, or even the Feser fittings I have. I only had four Alphacool fittings so it isn't a big loss, just the fun of redoing it!
I know what you mean by more for looks and performance than ease to work on. I think the TJ07 is kind of a form over function example. Next time I'll have to get a CaseLabs case, like Bart did!Edited by DerComissar - 7/12/13 at 8:05pm
