Seems to me like they're going the oppposing way, Razer is releasing a crappy spin-off of the R.A.T. 9, a mouse so heavy it would crush my balls if I accidently dropped the mouse on my lap.

LOL!

Just saying, the companies don't care about what they make.. As long as it's popular and makes money. So they generally go for..
  • Low Cost Parts
  • Flashy casing (LED's etc)
  • Functionality (Back/Forwards buttons) etc.

What about A4Tech mice? They're both dirt cheap and pretty solid

Maybe they're the smart ones seeing as they actually move product.... Just sayin.

A former logitech employee stated that the endevor to bring back the Mx300/G1/G3 shape isn't profitable in the US and Euro region. China and Korea had the G1 and now the G100, but it's an entry level price fighter with weak and cheap hardware. Could they bring back another higher end replacement? Possible. It's been a few years.

Razer is different as they've actually filled that spot since they started the company, but its unfortunate that they didn't put much focus on the Abyssus. The sensor package and LED quality is all there, but they should have paid more attention to the electrical engineering and micro controller (firmware) quality as were in jitter heaven at specific angles. Would the mouse sell any better if it was perfect? likely not.

I think the ouroboros is a great example of what appeals. While it's not my cup of the tea, I can appreciate the design work put into that mouse.

tl;dr
I understand you're part of the WMO masterrace and that's okay. It's a good mouse, but complaining that there isn't anything like it won't change much =x

You'll have to wait until Gamescom to find out whether we are or not, unfortunately. None of us are permitted to discuss unannounced product, nor whether something will or will not happen.
