Best 140mm fans for NZXT switch 810 - NOT ANOTHER FAN TOPIC - need a pro advice ! - Page 4

Man, how did you get them??? I have been searching everywhere but can't find them (I'm in USA)?

I love the look of NZXT's fans (perfect white blades with black frame) but I really want the BitFenix Spectre Pro 140mm PWM's in white/black!

With the NZXT Switch 810, the stock fans push 62cfm (I think), and I currently have the four stock fans (2x front intake, 1x HDD Cage, 1x rear fan), 6x Bgears Blasters 140mm which are 103cfm/3.5mmHg (Push-Pull on EX420 at top of case with the rad exhausting out of case), and 4x Koolance 120mm High Speed fans which are 107.4cfm/5.4mmHg (push-pull on UT60 240 in bottom of case, rad exhausting into case).
Assuming that that push-pull on rad results in the total airflow of 1 of the fans (i.e. 6x Bgears Blasters = 3x103 not 6x103)...
Non-Radiator Intake: 124cfm (+62cfm internal "intake" fan adds maybe half it's total as "fresh" air so 145cfm?)
Thru-Radiator Intake: 214cfm
Non-Radiator Exhaust: 62cfm
Thru-Radiator Exhaust: 309cfm

That gives me 338-359cfm of intake and 371cfm of exhaust. Very slight negative pressure....

Should I turn the rear exhaust into an intake, changing the numbers to 400-421cfm Intake and 309cfm exhaust?? This will be temporary until I can get the PWM Spectre Pro's (although they will very likely be attached to my Bitfenix Hydra Pro fan controller, assuming it can handle PWM fans without issue; and it also may be the first time ever that I get LED Fans if the Black/White fans are available with white LED's as the Hydra Pro can control fan speed and fan LED's).

Any advice appreciated, and not trying to threadjack, just figured you would know a lot more about air cooling with the Switch 810 than I (water is my thing). Also, WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE FANS?? DO WANT!!! lol

Cant get them in the USA? wow! One of the few times something is available here in Australia but not there....

The bitfenix fans really are fantastic. I have a few and have been testing them out a little but on the weekend will be the real test when i compare them to the thermalright fans on the silverarrow sb-e cooler.

I wanted 120mm white ones too which i couldnt find here and ended up ordering from OCuk. Getting 5 (3x120mm and 2x140mm) from there with postage made it about $1 cheaper than locally per fan anyways so was ok for me.

Hi mate, I am looking to get the Switch and wanted to get different fans for it too. I was also looking at the TY-140s, but it looks like they won't fit. I'm very glad that another forum member directed me to this thread. The BitFenix 140mm fans were also a consideration, but I didn't really know anyone that has tried them until now.

So they really are good fans and push a lot of air while not being insanely noisy?

How much was postage from OcUK to Australia? Another member directed me to that site today for the Thermalright 140mm fans as they aren't available to buy here in Australia. I wouldn't have thought you'd save any money getting the BitFenix fans from overseas. I'm still going to order some TY-141s though as I want to use them on my Noctua NH-D14 as they work with it's original fans clips.

There is a thermalright online store opening here soon. I hope. I have been in email contact with them over the last few weeks. They keep saying they will have it running 'next week' but so far next week hasn't come. Keep an eye out in the thermalright silver arrow thread as ill post the site there when/if they open it and let me know.

To work out shipping from ocuk.... how about u add some stuff to a cart and look for yourself? For me 5 fans was the only option that made them cheaper than here due to postage charges. 4 or 6 would have been more expensive. But 5 was what i needed.

Good luck!

WOW. Not avible in the USA? ?? I bought them in Poland from my supplier (i sell some pc stuff and servers so i buy from distributors). They got them in 3 days as they didnt have them in their offer so thats really odd that You cant find any in the USA. About the fans - my first impressions are that they are awesome. It is really possible that they get close to their rated CFM as i can feel the exhaust when i stand quite far from the PC when they go FULL RPM. They do not make any whirling/crackin/humming noises - just clear airflow , nothing more. As for now i really reccomend them to everyone and especially for switch 810 as white ones fit switch color scheme perfectly. They are great fans for sure. As for TY-140 - they wont fit switch 810 front , top and internalt places. 1 TY140 would probably fit the back exhaust as its a big mounting spot and probably some more can fit a RAD but nothing more. Anyway those bitfenix spectre pro PWM seem to be the best choice at least IMO.

I don't have an account there, can you check the postage prices at OcUK without being signed up there? If not, I will sign up for an account.

Also, what do you mean by Thermalright having a store opening here? Are they opening a store in Australia? Is that why a lot of the online stores in Australia have stopped selling their products?

Thanks. I was about to buy 6 Thermalright TY-141s if I got the case, glad I now know that they won't fit and didn't go ahead and buy them. I think I will still buy 2 - 4 to use as heatsink fans for my Noctua NH-D14s as I have two of them and the Thermalright fans should be able to be used because of their 120mm hole spacing. Don't think I can use the 140mm BitFenix fans on my Noctua NH-D14s with the Noctua fan clips because of the hole spacing.

I'd actually like to get 2 - 4 Thermalright TY-143 PWM fans from the new SB-E Extreme to use on my Noctua, but don't know where to source them from. Anyone here have access to them?

Good to hear actual user input.
If I may be so bold, what did they cost you?

They costed me 60 PLN per 1 so its circa 20 bucks or 17 euro , something like that.. I am really pleased with them so far and would recommend them to everyone who wants high CFM and good work conditions . Xigmatek fans and NZXT ones were doing other nosies exept the airflow and those are working perfectly ; )
