Whilst talking about himself and his "made up" company, or the fact he's a vendor and also worked for Alienware................i mean seriously. rolleyes.gif

Just called them again and spoke to 4 different people on the subject.

Essentially, they don't think there's enough demand for the Y splitter on the AX1200...There's also the "issue" that each PSU takes a different "header"...Thus, you're left in a situation of: If not enough people want it, you're wasting money.

Quite frankly, I've made several and have absolutely 0 problems making them for this community...As virtually anyone that sleeves, is capable of.

Ultimately, I was told that it's very possible it MIGHT happen for the AX1200 but, they won't know for several weeks and the DEMAND HAS TO BE THERE.

So, I do feel as if you look stupid because the answer I received in calling them, was not a no...Not only was it not a no, I was basically told that ultimately if they decide not to, I can make them for you without voiding the warranty on your PSU.

Also, I didn't make up my company...Left Alienware a very long time ago...If you're going to mock someone, at least get your facts in order.

I will have the Y splitters available for a small fee...All I need is my new crimper from Lutr0...Oh, my company is also sponsoring his build thumb.gif

I also wonder how hard it is to actually make a Y of your own...Or replace the adapter with an AX1200 header...Oh, that's right, silly me, it really isn't.
I apologize, I'm a "plank" and I forgot that you speak for Corsair and have all of the answers.
Just because I say something WILL be done by my company, doesn't always mean I know best or actually control what others are capable of.

Why you can't understand that a niche 1200 watt PSU should come with 8 PCI-E cables so it can be fully taken advantage of is beyond me. The issue was resolved in favor of the people who brought it up.

Just arguing for the sake of it I guess.

Oh and the reason the Corsair product 'blew away' (lol) the Antec and Seasonic competitors is because it's newer. You acting like either one but especially Seasonic makes bad power supplys is hilarious. About 50% of Corsairs current line are rebranded Seasonics.

The point that is totally flying over your head is that there is zero reason to buy a 1200 watt PSU unless you're running something like a quad-GPU system. Without it it is an incomplete product.

Just because I say something WILL be done by my company, doesn't always mean I know best or actually control what others are capable of.

okay so this product should come with more connectors, but hey it's a small oversight. what could an employee lower on the ladder who answers the phone do/say or provide that the product manager can't? could said person whip up a component said product manager has already said doesn't exist and most likely never will? somebody reassured you to get you off the phone, but their say in this matter carries little weight next to George, who is the only person in this topic speaking for corsair. you seem as though you're trying to though. and yes, if he (George) say's something will or will not be done then it's pretty reasonable to trust that statement. perhaps your 4 cs reps didn't get the memo.

Why must anyone listen to your opinions? Your often completely wrong and not reading the same hymn sheet as others. Like the other day talking about this same subject on connection methods on 4-Way SLI or QuadFire and how to do it without a Molex to PCI-E (which lead to the discussion of the Y cable). You completely didn't read what i was saying and suggested i use a Molex to PCI-E on the 4th GPU, which what i and many others are already doing and were actually trying to avoid in the 1st place.

You're welcome to an opinion as is anyone else but, within the bounds of this thread you've not only been equally as incorrect in regards to other issues, but, you wouldn't take the 10 minutes necessary to verify facts. I did...and when Mr. Nguyen didn't have the answers to these issues, I spoke to others that did.

I understand your issue and I do apologize for the earlier misunderstanding...It doesn't change the fact that you did nothing to inquire beyond the original issue...Which is: whining on a forum.

Like I said above, the information I received from SEVERAL people at Corsair is that, I can make you the Y splitter without voiding your warranty.

Communication is a wonderful tool, I implore you to use it more often, especially verbal communication. thumb.gif

I will make a thread and if you'd like one, please PM me...I'm just charging for the headers and the wire...My time, is free.

Ultimately, if you'd rather wait the few weeks to see if they'll do a run, that's your call but, I can have them ready as early as next Wednesday.

Your call, your decision...

I have never been incorrect you *censored*, i own 4-Way SLI and the AX1200 so i know damn well what i'm talking about. Can you say the same? no you can't!

You keep talking about making phone calls, but how many times do i need to say this.............i do not need to and it won't help the situation after what George has already said on the issue.

Also, i do not need you to make connectors for me. I have the money and the means to do it myself or buy another PSU. But that's not the point anyway, i shouldn't have to buy another PSU.

You speak of professionalism, eh?

George's answer didn't actually address the entire question...and again, not happening doesn't always mean it won't. In calling them, the answer, again, was very different...While I understand George is the product manager, he's not exactly God...So, things may change...I could name at least 3 or 4 situations with the 680's where product managers said absolutely not...And it happened...So, no isn't always actually a no.

It's not financially feasible to make a 5$ cable for every single user...For those in need of it, absolutely...But, for the public? Nah.

Thx for the support already on those cables, I'll get started this weekend.
