I am not to sure in what way to go for upgrading.

I have about $600 to spend.

I have a few thoughts of my own ( I am more then willing to accept other thoughts as well) but I am not sure which to choose thinking.gif

1. For a while I have been thinking about water cooling my Gigabyte 570's cost approx $400

2. I am also very interested in trying Intel out, so I would change my MB, CPU and ram cost approx $500

3. Once upon a time I also thought about water cooling my MB, plus I would also by myself a nice 27" Monitor cost approx $650

4. Also thinking about trying out nVidia Surround on 3x 23" monitors cost approx $600

5. Just this morning I also though I could water cooling the Children's computer and upgrade my water cooling loop cost approx $400

So can you nice people of this electronic world in which I seem to be living in OCN help us out.

I second the vote for the surround. I didn't realize how useful having three monitors is until I went back to one for just few hours.

Will 2x GV-N570OC-13I with only 1280Mb of GDDR5 ram each, be enough for sorround at 5760*1080?

I understand I can down tune the game settings, but would I have to down them alot?

Personally, I would go with option 1, or 2, if you are using the computer for anything that requires a lot of CPU performance. The 27" monitor is also a good idea, though I don't know why you'd put your motherboard under water.

I would vote for 2 or 3, but in 3, I would leave out water cooling your mobo, as theres little need for it. A nice Ivy Bridge or Sandy Bridge chip would be an upgrade, possibly even removing a bottleneck for your 570s. I wouldnt do the others because:

1) This option is a close 3rd. If you can get enough radiator into your case to do a good job, it's an OK deal. If you plan to do anything less than two 240 mm rads, I wouldn't

4) Tri monitors is OK for a desktop, but your VRAM isn't going to cut it with decent games.

5) Water cooling on its own is a huge pain, creating a loop for your kids cant be worth it. If you want to upgrade your loop for one reason or another, sell your current stuff and buy new.

How about going going with surround, selling your 570s, and getting a 680?

I do have two rads already, a RX240 and EX240, both of which can and will fit in my case.

But many are saying to try Intel

I just need more input as only 5 people all across the board is just not enough to make up my mind yet.

choice number one is a nice upgrade. I would do that if I already had everything else in place. more specifically the cpu, and motherboard I wanted, a decent display and an ssd. choice number 2 could be benificial, depending on what processor you have. My brother has a 2600k and I have a amd 8150. In all honesty I can't really tell the difference unless we are doing benchmarks. The three monitor setup is a good choice. 23" monitors are on the small side in my opinion. Water cooling your kids computer, depending on the age and interest of your kids, could be a very good or very bad idea. I would not water cool my motherboard unless I had nothing else better to do with the build. I have a 27" monitor. I love them. I would buy two 27" monitors, and then you could get a third the next time you have a little extra money. This is assuming you have a decent processor.. More specifically, at least a phenom II x 4 black edition or greater. If your processor is dated then this is definitely the time to jump off the AMD train.
