Looking for a IPS panel monitor with 0 backlight bleeding!!!

Thread Starter
I like to gaming and watching movies in a dark room. Therefore, i notice backlight bleeding easily and I think the bleeding is annoying as hell. I have tried the following IPS panel monitors. All of them have some sort of bleeding.
In the order of seriousness of bleeding:
1) Crossover 2720mdp (epic backlight bleeding)
2) Yamakasi Q270 multi (epic backlight bleeding as well, a little bit better than the Crossover)
3) Asus PA248Q (little bit of bleeding in upper left, bottom left, upper right). I will only notice the bleed when I change the background to black color. But still, i will notice it.
So I am wondering, is it possible to buy a IPS panel monitor with 0 bleeding? Do I need to switch to VA in order to get rid of the bleeding? Please recommend!

What you're asking is unrealistic tbh, the only way you're gonna get 0 backlight bleeding is with a HQ CRT Monitior imo. Even the 1k+ Apple TB displays have backlight bleed.

Ok thx guys. I'm too picky and asking too much...

unfortunately, back light bleed is prity much standard in ips panels at the moment... i would recommend waiting for the new ultra sharp to come out in a few months... they are advertizing drastically reduced bleeding, but there is no way to know for sure until some solid reviews come out... hope this helped smile.gif

If you're handy with a screwdriver, I hear you can drasticallly reduce bleeding by opening the monitor up and mildly tightening the screws on the actual panel, and adding some electrical tape around the outer edge of the panel. There's a guide regarding it on tftcentral I believe.
