Single 7970 Eyefinity setup?

Thread Starter
Hi, I have a single reference 7970 and would like to do a triple monitor eyefinity setup.

Two questions:

1) Can I hook up two monitors via DVI-D and one via Hdmi?

2) If I can, would this setup work?

+Rep to any one who helps.

The connections look different on that card, but usually you need one display port connection and any other 2

Yes, you definitely can.

7970 DVI > DVI Monitor #1

7979 HDMI > HDMI Monitor #2

7970 Mini DP-To-DVI Single Link Active Adapter > DVI Monitor #3 (This adapter will work if the resolution not more than 1920x1200).

Edit:

HDMI and DVI are using identical signal source, i.e., DMTS and clock generator. So nothing to worry about out of snyc.

Fixed. If you can do it, stay all DVI. It'll save you from making a thread later, why's my screen shrunken etc...

Monitor 1 DVI
