I wouldn't let it put you off water cooling it's a freak and I am guessing may have been weakened, but not sure how maybe when you were getting the tubing or perhaps erosion corrosion? It might have been overtightened, or maybe it had some kind of manufacturing fault. It doesn't appear to have been a metal fatigue crack, so it was most likely a pre-existing crack that spread.

Really? the only things I've heard that people don't like were the bad nickel coatings, which were fixed, and their new water block designs, which I like.
On the topic of short circuits, does anyone know if it would theoretically be possible to saturate water with a non-ionic compound, so that it could not dissolve any ionic compounds and become conductive?
