Hey guys, got a mouse issue for ya. Did a quick search and didn't find anything, but if there is a thread already on this issue, just let me know.
Anyways, got the Microsoft Sidewinder x8 a couple months ago from newegg after my x5 had been run to death. Loved the x5 for the 3 years or so I had it so I decided I'd spend a few more bucks and get the x8. Thing works fine about 90% of the time, but every now and then (few times a day), for about 5-10 minutes, it just gets some mad lag, but then is perfectly fine. By lag (sorry if it's the wrong term) I mean it skips around the screen and becomes glitchy and I can't really click or scroll or anything. Basically becomes useless for a few minutes. When it happens I plug the charging cord into it and it still does it, turn it off and then back on from the switch on the bottom of the mouse, etc.. and it still does it. It's not my mouse pad (X-trac Ripper) because I've tried it on different surfaces and gotten the same results. The wireless "receiver" is about 8"-12" from where the mouse is, and there's nothing in between the two. Only thing I can think of is maybe because my cell phone is always sitting on my desk. Don't know if the two signals are interfering with each other, but I wouldn't think that would be an issue since it continues to do it when I plug the cord in to make it a wired mouse.
So I'm out of ideas now and decided I'd go to people much smarter than I. Didn't know if you guys have seen this before or if this is a common problem with this mouse or something. Any help is appreciated, +rep for help!
Thanks,
Weston
