Anyways man, that was just my presumption of how it is.
You are wrong. tongue.gif

No I wouldn't considering its the same situation with 2500k and 2600k's. Unless my thermal grease methods were somehow magically WILDLY different. Same voltages, the 2600k was about 10-15*C hotter each and every time over the 2500k (at the same voltages).

And? TJMax is 105C. However over 100C may not be a good idea under water wink.gif

Over 100C you say? Even over 85C isn't recommended at all!

Tjmax doesn't tell you any safe temps till which your processor should work, it tells you the temp before it fries up. But unfortunately, the processor would throttle down before reaching those high temps.

Yes, over 85C is SB.

No, I was saying you DO NOT want to go 100C under water, I would never go more than 90 though.

Well I gotta disagree over this because Ivy Bridge does have a heating issue. So a bit more heat can easily lead to become a bit too much, whereas Sandy never had that problem. In other words, in Sandys case, 10-15C is a bit of an over exaggeration. Also speaking from personal experience. In the end a 2600K still runs cooler than even a 3570K.

Haven't you heard man? The best water or even air coolers can't keep Ivy's temp down when crossing 4.7-4.8Ghz. It's widely known that only SS and LN2 can obviously do that.

I saw a 5GHz 3770K on air... Kitguru.
